The word photography derives from the Greek
Word ‘fos’
meaning light and ‘grafo’ to
write/drawing (Photography means drawing with
light). The word was popularized by Sir John Herschel in 1839. Modern photography
began in the 1820s with the first permanent photographs.
As a professional
photographer and teacher myself when
people ask me the meaning of photography I always says To Magic with light, or
to Paint with light because I always think out of the box although meaning is
same but you should
have your own words to explain. Photography becomes a very
power tool to memorize the expression that touches human life. It is a
way to convey information , communicate , express human feelings through images that says a thousand
words without saying anything . For tons of people all over the world Photography
is a hobby
, a Passion , a healthy activity as
well as a satisfying career .
